At Hedgegrove, our modern double-story cattery is secure, cosy and peaceful.

We understand that most cats tend to stress quite easily, and it’s important to keep them secluded and private, away from the rest of the animals.

Our cat condos are spacious, and litters are cleaned daily to provide maximum comfort for your cat.

Minimum Stay & Fee:
A minimum stay of 2 days applies, with a minimum fee of $120 per pet.
Please note: Minimum stay requirements may vary during holiday periods.

Feeding Discount:
Cats fed our in-house diet receive a $4 per day discount on their boarding fees.

Window condos:
We can not reserve window condos; windows are reserved for long-term guests first and are rotated.

Daily Charges:
Fees are calculated per calendar day.
Guests collected during morning opening hours will not be charged for that day. (Note: Morning collection not available Sundays.)

Booking Fees:
A non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee is required to confirm your reservation.

Hedgegrove already proudly offers some of the largest cat condos in SA, but our Luxury Condos are twice as big! They also contain plenty of nooks to explore and levels to climb.

Frequently Asked Questions

All cats must be current on the following vaccinations. We ask that you present the Vaccination Certificate to ensure your cat has been vaccinated within the last 12 months before boarding. If the first vaccination, it must have been done at least 2 weeks before they board with us for full cover. This helps ensure the health and well-being of your pets and all pets under our care.

Cats require vaccine protection against 3 diseases:

  1. Feline Enteritis (also called panleukopenia)
  2. Cat Flu – Calici Virus
  3. Rhinotracheitis Virus

Hedgegrove facilities are air-conditioned and heated to maintain optimal temperatures for our guests year-round.

During the high Season – Christmas, Easter, School & Public Holidays, it is a good idea to book 3-6 months in advance for pet boarding to avoid disappointment. Our bookings during these times have a minimum booking requirement.

While we are happy to administer medication/supplements to your pet during their stay, a surcharge may occur. Please discuss this when making your booking.

Prescribed medications will be adhered to, unless otherwise advised by the administering Veterinarian. Please ensure that your medication is properly labelled and comes in its original packaging so that we can adhere to the veterinary instructions and/or follow up if required by our staff.

All guests who need medication receive a $ 6.80-per-day surcharge.

If you have several cats and would like them housed together, we can accommodate that. Please discuss it with us before booking.

To share a condo, all cats must be desexed. Shared stays are not recommended for cats with behavioural concerns. For the safety of all, Hedgegrove may separate cats at our discretion. Additional charges will apply in such cases.

We choose to feed our cats premium food. If your feline is a little bit fussy (as they tend to be), or you would like us to cater for a special diet we are happy to do so, please provide this food on check-in with instructions.

Cats choosing to be fed our supplied diet receive a $4 per-day boarding discount.

Cattery Tours

You are more than welcome to tour our cattery facilities before booking. Tours are available by appointment only during our opening hours, but are not held during peak periods and public holidays. Please contact us to make a booking today!

Holidays & Minimum Stays

  • School Holidays minimum charge 3 days
  • Long Weekend minimum board charge is 4 days
  • Easter minimum charge is 5 days
  • Christmas minimum charge is 8 days
  • All bookings require a nonrefundable booking fee placed at the time of booking to confirm and secure your pet’s stay with us
  • Should you decide to collect your pet early over peak periods, the original booking duration will still be charged.
